Dr. Alyssa Williamson is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Athletic Trainer, and Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries, and performance optimization. Her background allows her to care for patients from the moment an injury occurs through rehabilitation and a safe return to activity.

A Boston University graduate and former Division I athlete, Dr. Alyssa has worked with athletes of all ages - from high school and active adults, to collegiate and professional competitors. Her background includes outpatient orthopedics, athletic training, and leadership as the previous Head Athletic Trainer at Gloucester High School. She also holds certifications in Strength & Conditioning (CSCS), ImPACT Concussion Management and Dry Needling.

After spending time in traditional outpatient practices, Dr. Alyssa envisioned a different kind of physical therapy experience—one centered around personalized care, longer appointments, and treating the whole person rather than simply the diagnosis. That vision led to the creation of HYPE Sports Rehab & Performance, where rehabilitation, performance, recovery, and injury prevention come together under one roof to help clients move better, feel better, and perform at their highest level.

Throughout her career, Dr. Williamson has provided medical coverage and care for local high school and collegiate sporting events and previously served as Director of Sports Medicine for the 8-time National Champion Boston Renegades, working alongside elite female athletes to support their health, performance, and return to play.

When she's not in the clinic, you'll usually find her traveling, in nature, or searching for the next great restaurant. She believes movement should enhance every aspect of life, and her mission is to help every client return to the activities they love with confidence.

Dr. Katie Judd graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of New England in 2018. She has been proudly serving patients across the North Shore for over seven years.

Katie’s passion for physical therapy was inspired by her own experience as a high school and collegiate athlete recovering from multiple injuries. These experiences fueled her dedication to helping others overcome pain, recover from both acute and chronic injuries, and achieve their highest potential—whether that means returning to daily activities or high-level athletic performance.

In addition to her clinical work, Katie has experience in the health and wellness setting, where she provides personal training services specializing in return-to-sport and high-level strength training within the gym environment. She combines her background in rehabilitation and performance to create individualized programs that bridge the gap between injury recovery and long-term fitness success.

Katie is a Functional Range Conditioning Mobility Specialist (FRCms) and holds certifications in Functional Dry Needling (FDN1), Graston Technique, and Functional Movement Techniques (FMT). Her clinical interests include orthopedic manual therapy, movement optimization, and performance enhancement for active individuals of all levels.

OUR APPROACH

TREATING THE WHOLE BODY

We don't just treat symptoms, we find the root cause and build a plan that addresses your health, lifestyle, and mobility holistically.

HYPE distinguishes itself from other physical therapy clinics by offering tailored plans rather than a cookie-cutter approach. Every client receives personalized, one-on-one treatments and a customized program that addresses injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement. A wide variety of exercises and manual therapy techniques are incorporated with the goal of alleviating pain and enhancing mobility.

No matter the cause of pain or dysfunction, clients will feel empowered to achieve their goals and confidently engage in the activities they enjoy. Whether you want to play on the floor with your grandchildren or train for a 10k, together we will work towards reaching your highest level of performance!
