OUR
THERAPIES

Your treatment plan is crafted by your doctor based on a thorough evaluation, not selected off a menu.

PERSONALIZED TREATMENT

CUSTOMIZED CARE,
NOT ONE-SIZE-FITS ALL

Every patient starts with a comprehensive evaluation. Based on your unique needs, Dr. Alyssa or Dr. Katie works with you to design a treatment plan that may include a combination of the following therapies.

Physical therapist working one-on-one with a patient

MODALITIES & THERAPIES

Hands-On Care

Skilled, one-on-one manual therapy designed to reduce pain, restore mobility, and help your body move the way it was meant to.

Physical therapist performing dry needling treatment
Dry Needling

A therapeutic treatment used to treat pain and movement issues caused by myofascial trigger points (tight "knots" in muscles). Dry needling utilizes precise needle placement to positively influence your nervous system. By targeting specific trigger and homeostatic points, it stimulates the body's natural healing response, providing you with rapid, lasting relief.

Physical therapist performing cupping (myofascial decompression) therapy
Cupping

Cupping (or Myofascial Decompression) is a soft-tissue technique that uses specialized cups to create suction on the skin, lifting the skin and underlying fascia and muscle tissue. Unlike massage, which uses pressure to compress muscles, cupping uses negative pressure to pull tissues apart, encouraging blood flow, promoting healing, and relieving tension.

Physical therapist applying manual therapy to a patient's joint
Manual Therapy

A specialized form of physical therapy where therapists use their hands to apply specific, skilled movements to joints and soft tissues, rather than relying on machines or devices. It is a hands-on approach designed to reduce pain, increase range of motion, decrease inflammation, and improve overall physical function.

Physical therapist performing joint mobilization technique
Joint Mobilization

A hands-on manual therapy technique to reduce pain, decrease stiffness, and restore natural movement to a joint. It involves slow, controlled, and passive movements (meaning the therapist moves the joint while the patient relaxes) applied to a joint's surfaces, typically in the direction of restriction.

Physical therapist using Graston instruments for soft tissue mobilization
Graston Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

Graston, a form of Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), uses specially designed stainless steel instruments to detect and treat restrictions in muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia. It is essentially a high-tech, specialized form of deep tissue massage or "muscle scraping" designed to break down scar tissue and myofascial adhesions (knots) that cause pain and limit range of motion.

MODALITIES & THERAPIES

Recovery Techniques

Evidence-based recovery tools that accelerate healing, reduce soreness, and optimize your body's ability to perform and recover.

Physical therapist using a cuff to apply blood flow restriction therapy for a patient
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR)

Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training is an advanced, research-supported approach that helps accelerate strength gains while using lighter loads and placing less stress on joints and healing tissues. By combining low-intensity exercise with specialized pressure cuffs, BFR stimulates the body's natural muscle-building response in a safe and controlled manner.

Supported by a growing body of research, BFR has become a valuable tool in rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery, and performance training—helping you regain strength, move with confidence, and return to the activities you love more efficiently.

Patient using Normatec compression therapy sleeves
Normatec Compression Therapy

Normatec Compression Therapy uses gentle, sequential air compression, the system delivers a relaxing massage-like experience that promotes healthy circulation and helps decrease swelling and stiffness.

Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing muscle fatigue, or looking to optimize your performance, Normatec sessions provide a comfortable, non-invasive way to enhance recovery and help you get back to doing what you love.

Physical therapist applying kinesiology tape to a patient
KT Taping

Kinesio taping, or kinesiology taping, is a therapeutic technique used in physical therapy that involves applying a specialized, thin, and elastic tape to the skin. Unlike traditional rigid athletic tape that restricts motion, Kinesio tape stretches, allowing for a full range of motion while providing, supporting, and facilitating the body’s natural healing process.

Physical therapist using a massage gun for percussive therapy
Massage Gun

Physical therapists use massage guns (also known as percussive or vibration therapy devices) to accelerate recovery, reduce pain, and improve mobility by applying rapid, concentrated pulses to soft tissues. These devices, often used for manual intervention or "tissue prep," are designed to increase blood flow and decrease muscle tension efficiently.

Patient receiving red light therapy treatment
Red Light Therapy

Red Light Therapy is an advanced recovery treatment that uses clinically studied wavelengths of light to support cellular health and optimize the body's natural healing processes. Research has shown potential benefits for reducing pain and inflammation, improving circulation, and promoting tissue repair.

Comfortable and non-invasive, Red Light Therapy is often incorporated into rehabilitation and performance programs to help you recover faster, feel better, and continue doing the activities you love.

Patient receiving electrical stimulation (E-Stim) therapy
Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim)

Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim) uses gentle electrical impulses to activate muscles, reduce pain, and support the body's natural healing process. It can help improve muscle recruitment, decrease soreness, and enhance recovery after injury or surgery. At HYPE, E-Stim can be used as a standalone treatment or combined with dry needling to maximize muscle activation, improve neuromuscular control, and accelerate recovery.

MODALITIES & THERAPIES

Movement Training

Personalized movement coaching that builds strength, improves mechanics, and helps you move with confidence in sport and everyday life.

Physical therapist guiding a patient through neuromuscular reeducation exercise
Neuromuscular Reeducation

A specialized physical therapy technique designed to retrain the nervous system to communicate effectively with muscles, restoring normal movement, balance, coordination, and posture. It focuses on repairing the damaged or dysfunctional communication loop between the brain and muscles, which can be caused by injury, surgery, or neurological conditions.

Patient performing a Total Resistance Exercise (TRX) as part of their treatment plan
Total Resistance Exercise (TRX) Training

Total Resistance Exercise (TRX) is a, suspension-based rehabilitation method that uses straps, gravity, and the patient's own body weight to build strength, balance, flexibility, and core stability. Developed by a Navy SEAL, it is highly adaptable for all fitness levels, from elderly patients recovering from injury to athletes undergoing performance training

Patient performing a balance training exercise
Proprioceptive/ Balance Training

Improves the body’s ability to sense its location, movements, and actions in space, essentially retraining the nervous system to coordinate muscles and joints for stability and safety. This specialized training helps patients regain control of injured areas, reduce the risk of future injuries, and improve functional mobility.

Patient performing a guided strength training exercise
Strength Training

A therapeutic, tailored approach designed to restore function, reduce pain, and prevent future injuries by strengthening specific muscles and improving joint stability. Unlike general fitness, physical therapy strength training is customized to a patient’s unique medical history and functional limitations to facilitate rehabilitation. It can reverse muscle atrophy (weakness) caused by inactivity or pain after injury or surgery, restore balance and control to affected areas, reduce pain & joint stress, improve mobility and function, prevent future injury, and build long-term health.
